Injury could jeopardize Wimbledon participation

After suffering a gruesome ankle injury during his Roland Garros semifinal against Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev revealed that the injury is very serious and could jeopardize his participation in Wimbledon.

Zverev retired from the match in the second set after rolling his ankle while chasing a ball. He was taken off the court in a wheelchair and later revealed that he had torn three ligaments in his ankle.

"It's a very serious injury," Zverev said. "I'm going to have to have surgery and it's going to be a long rehab. I'm not sure when I'll be back on court." Wimbledon begins on June 27, and Zverev's injury could put his participation in the tournament in doubt.

Zverev is one of the top players in the world and was considered a contender to win the French Open. His injury is a major setback for the German and could have a significant impact on the rest of the season.
